Who We are
McKenzie Design Build was founded by Zac McKenzie, a builder driven by the belief that the best homes combine design, science, and craftsmanship.
After years in general contracting, Zac saw a gap — homes looked good but often underperformed. So he built a company that integrates proven building science with timeless craftsmanship. Today, every McKenzie home reflects that philosophy: performance you can feel, quality you can see.
Zac has constructed and consulted on several commercial and residential projects with an intense focus on state-of-the-art building science, quality craftsmanship, and a desire to create a positive impact in the communities where he works. He oversees an internal team of project managers, site supervisors, architects and designers all of whom share his vision for quality, integrity, and communication. In his spare time, you can find Zac working on his own home, wood working, and spending time with his wife and two kids.
